Corals with genes that allow them to better adapt to warmer seas are offering hope that some endangered reefs may be able to survive global warming, a study found.
Researchers from the US and Australia sequenced the genomes of 237 colonies of reef species on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef during the bleaching event of 2017.
