So what makes a good hot cross bun?
It’s Good Friday, so that means we’re all rushing to grab our hot cross buns out of the oven and put them into our mouths, right?
Well, before you bite into your fruity festive snack, did you know it was once illegal to sell hot cross buns outside of Christmas and Good Friday?
Now we’re spoilt for choice with hot cross buns almost available all year round, with bakers experimenting with new and different types of buns from chocolate to vegemite to everything in between.
There’s even a hot cross gin.
