Smoking is a health hazard – and it can also be a ‘wealth’ hazard if you don’t have a permit for your imported tobacco products.
Most tobacco products, including cigarettes, molasses tobacco and loose leaf tobacco, are ‘prohibited imports’.
To import tobacco products for both commercial and personal use, you will need a permit issued by the Australian Border Force before your tobacco arrives in Australia.
