Smith backs ‘bright talent’ Green to shine if named to replace injured Stoinis – Sydney Morning Herald
With all-rounder Marcus Stoinis nursing a side strain, support is growing for boom youngster Cameron Green to make his ODI debut.
The Australians could also turn to fellow batting all-rounder Moises Henriques, bowling all-rounder Sean Abbott or spinning all-rounder Ashton Agar on a pitch that will be baked from a searing hot weekend in Sydney.
Former skipper Smith said the uncapped Green, 21, had impressed with the ball in the nets through the week.
