Six people died on Queensland roads over the Easter long weekend and 135 people were left injured from crashes. 4,742 fines were handed out, with 2,409 drivers caught speeding.

A total of 219 drug drivers and 228 drink drivers were detected.

Police say they are disappointed and will continue to target poor driver behaviours for the rest of the school holidays.
