Sinkhole closes busy Coast intersection
The sinkhole appeared just after 6am at the major intersection behind Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, on the corner of Sunshine Blvd and Hooker Blvd.It’s believed the large hole in the road is a result of a burst water main.Police have been called to navigate peak-hour traffic around the area while the surrounding roads have been closed. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route.A council spokeswoman said the repairs could take “one to two days”.
