Singapore PM Lee Hsien Loong receives Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccination
Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has received the COVID-19 vaccine developed by pharmaceutical giant Pfizer and its German partner BioNTech.
Key points:
- Mr Lee and his Cabinet will be among the first Singaporeans to be vaccinated to show it is safe
- Singapore approved the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for use in December and received shipments from Belgium
- The country’s outbreaks have been overwhelmingly concentrated in dormitories for migrant workers
