Thursday’s severe storms brought 80km/h wind gusts, rainfall exceeding 50mm, and 2-3cm hailstones.
An 83km/h wind gust was picked up at Kingaroy in the South Burnett, Amberley in Ipswich had 80, Archerfield on Brisbanes southside got 74, while Coolangatta on the Gold Coast recorded 69km/h.
