‘Significant health implications’: Police warning after dog found locked in hot car on Gold Coast street

A distressed puppy rescued from a parked car on a sweltering Gold Coast street has prompted a stern warning from police as the weather heats up.
The miniature daschund, named Duppy, was rescued from a Volkswagen Jetta parked in the sun on Marine Pde in Coolangatta about 2.30pm on Sunday.
