Shoppers at Woolworths-owned stores are being urged to wear face coverings from Monday.
The advice applies to Woolworths supermarkets, Big W, Dan Murphy’s, BWS and ALH Hotels.
The move comes as NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian on Sunday raised the health advice to encourage all residents to wear a mask while grocery shopping because it was often hard to social distance.
