With the Hong Kong jockeys’ title gone for 2020 Joao Moreira will be looking to finish his season on a high against Zac Purton, who will be crowned champion after next Wednesday’s final meeting at Happy Valley.
Unless Moreira can deliver a miracle and land virtually the entire 11-race program at Sha Tin today Purton has the title done and dusted with an eight -in buffer over Moreira, who will miss next Wednesday through suspension.
However Moreira is a heavy favourite to deliver today at Sha Tin with a full book of rides and bookmakers have him a $1.50 chance to win the jockeys challenge with Purton at $3.50.
