Sexual harassment should mean leadership ban: AFR readers – The Australian Financial Review
More than 80 per cent of readers surveyed by The Australian Financial Review believe sexual harassment perpetrators should be blocked from leadership roles for at least a year.
“A ‘minor’ sexual harassment case should not result in a life sentence for the perpetrator being precluded from leadership positions,” one reader said.
“Most people learn from their errors. People may often be better leaders as a consequence of the lesson learned.”
Many readers said the length of any ban should be proportionate to the degree of sexual harassment.
One reader said if the harassment was to the degree reported for Mr Pahari, “then a permanent ban is reasonable”.
