Severe thunderstorm warning for south-east Queensland
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe storm warning for south-east Queensland that could bring heavy rainfall and damaging winds to the region.
The thunderstorms were predicted to also cause potential life-threatening flash-flooding.

Brisbane, Ipswich parts of Logan, Somerset, Scenic Rim, South Burnett, Toowoomba and Lockyer Valley were the areas included in the bureau’s forecast.
Beaudesert in the Scenic Rim recorded 83 millimetres in one hour to 5:30pm, while Woodlands Road near Laidley, about 85 kilometres south-west of Brisbane, recorded 57 millimetres an one hour to 5:30pm.
