Severe thunderstorm and hail warning for Brisbane this weekend
“Heatwave conditions will develop broadly across the state this weekend. Severe heatwave conditions will affect north-western parts of the state including Mt Isa, while low-intensity conditions will affect inland parts of the southeast, Wide Bay and Burnett, and the central interior regions.”
Mr Marshall said showers will reduce in flooded far north Queensland on Friday, with heavy rain easing back to the Cape York Peninsula.
“Heavy rainfall returns to the North Tropical Coast over the weekend and into Monday as a tropical low develops offshore,” Mr Marshall said.
