Seven Storm players out of All Stars as COVID chaos hits multiple codes – Sydney Morning Herald
Victoria’s lockdown has forced withdrawals from the NRL’s pre-season exhibition match, postponements in several codes and a mad dash for the border.
A 50-strong group of Melbourne Rebels made a dash to Canberra on Friday to establish a base for the upcoming Super Rugby season.
There was brief talk about the Storm players involved in the Indigenous All-Stars versus Maori All-Stars also making the same mad dash into NSW by midnight in the hope they could still get into Queensland. There was also thought given to the players catching a charter flight straight to Queensland.
