Seven new blood clot cases reported after AstraZeneca vaccine, TGA confirms – 7NEWS.com.au
The total number of Australian cases of thrombosis following the vaccine has risen to 18.
The Therapeutic Goods Administration has received another seven reports of blood clots and low blood platelets in people who have received the AstraZeneca vaccine.
It takes the total Australian reports of cases assessed as TTS (thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome) following the AstraZeneca vaccine to 18.
So far about 1.8 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine have been administered.
Three cases of the seven cases are considered confirmed, the TGA said in an update on Thursday.
