Emergency medical reinforcements have swept into the Doutta Galla Yarraville Village aged care facility, where almost 60 residents and staff have tested positive for COVID-19 and seven people have died.
The coronavirus outbreak at Doutta Galla Yarraville Village began at the start of August and has now spread to 33 residents and 25 staff.
Two residents have died at the facility and a further five have died after being transferred to hospitals.
