Detectives have commenced an investigation into the serious assault of a man aged in his 40’s on Impey Street at Caravonica, sometime after 10pm on December 5.
Detectives spoke with the victim in hospital who is suffering from serious facial injuries and bleeds to the brain.
Police believe the victim was involved in a physical altercation before he was located by residents lying badly injured on the road.
Detectives are seeking any information that may assist with piecing together what happened to the man.
The victim remains in a serious condition in hospital.
