The popularity of family Secret Santa has soared over the past few years — this is why and how your family could get started.

A few years ago, Laura Donnelly’s family realised Christmas gift-giving was getting out of control.
So they came up with a fun and easy solution: The family of eight introduced a Secret Santa system (also known as Kris Kringle), where each person draws a name out of a hat and buys a single gift for that person.
“We introduced it to keep costs low and take a bit of the stress out of having to buy for everyone,” Laura says.
