“A few years ago, I was at Mooloolaba Beach, when four people needed to be rescued. I was watching our lifesavers and to my surprise they took a rescue
tube – not a rescue board.After they returned to shore, I asked them why they didn’t ride a board? They said they felt insecure in using one.
I spoke to our President and decided to run courses for our older members where I could help them feel confident in using one.
