Racing Victoria has launched an investigation into a surrogacy program involving one of the nation’s greatest sprint mares, Miss Andretti.
The authority has confirmed to the Herald Sun that it’s in the early stages of a probe into embryo transfers from top racing mares to surrogate horses. It’s understood the thoroughbred breeder and owner under scrutiny is Sean Buckley, chief executive of car repair business Ultra Tune. He also runs Ultra Thoroughbreds in Kilmore, which has more than 300 horses.
