Scott Morrison tells Brisbane residents to stay home ahead of tough COVID lockdown
Scott Morrison has challenged Greater Brisbane residents to “stay where you are” after labelling the region’s strict lockdown as “wise” and “sensible”.
The Prime Minister met with state and territory leaders at National Cabinet on Friday to discuss how to deal with a new strain of COVID-19 which has been found in Queensland.
The UK strain, which is more infectious than previous strains, was found in a cleaner in hotel quarantine in Brisbane.
