As the packaging giant Visy moves into the glass sector it is seeking to cut costs and expand markets by embracing more recycling.

The packaging billionaire Anthony Pratt is calling for local councils to provide households with another recycling bin to separate glass from paper and plastic as part of a goal to increase glass recycling rates from 30 to 70 per cent across the country.
