Beaten twice in as many starts in Townsville, Scott McLaughlin ensured normal transmission resumed in the 2020 V8 Supercars series.
The Kiwi two-time defending series champion notched his 52nd career victory and ninth of this year when he led throughout for victory in race three of the Townsville SuperSprint on Sunday.
Having earned his 70th career pole position, McLaughlin held off Cameron Waters and Jamie Whincup on the podium spots.
