Scots children under-5 can be tested for coronavirus this week as childcare opens up – Daily Record
Wider testing should help families avoid isolating with symptoms similar to coronavirus.
Children under the age of five with potential coronavirus symptoms will be able to access testing for the virus from Wednesday.
The change is being made as kids start getting back to childcare and to avoid families having to isolate unnecessarilty.
So far, a test has been carried out on under-fives only if there is a pressing clinical need to do so.
