Researchers at the Department of Energy’s SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory captured the first 3,200-megapixel digital photosthe largest ever taken in a single shot.
These photos are so large, it would take 378 4K TV screens to display even one of them in full size. Using a fleet of imaging sensors that will eventually power the Vera C. Rubin Observatory’s cosmic camera, the team made pictures with resolution so high you can see…
