Under certain conditions, electricity can flow through a medium or circuit without resistance. This phenomenon is called superconductivity, and it can occur in several ways.
Until now, scientists have considered most of these different methods of exciting superconductivity incompatible, but for the first time they have succeeded in combining two of these strategies. Scientists described the breakthrough in a new paper that was published in the journal Science Advances on Friday.
