School leavers have last day of exams, as Premier warns about parties
More than 37,000 Queensland year 12 students began examinations three weeks ago, with a further 13,079 opting not to sit external tests.
English attracted the largest number of enrolments, followed by general mathematics and biology.
Japanese was the most popular subject for students studying a language other than English, followed by Chinese, French, German and Spanish.
Usually about this time thousands of parents would be giving their graduating children stern warnings about the dangers of alcohol, before packing up the car and driving them to the Gold Coast or Airlie Beach for a week of partying at schoolies.
