SBW’s return in epic GF rematch a hit with fans as it sets new ratings records – Fox Sports
Saturday’s blockbuster grand final rematch between the Roosters and Raiders was a hit with NRL fans as it reached record numbers for Foxtel.
The grudge match, which also featured the return of cross-code Superstar Sonny Bill Williams, received the third highest audience this season with a total of 480,000 fans tuning into the game live on Fox League as well as streaming services Kayo, Foxtel Go and Foxtel Now.
It also received the highest streaming audience ever for an NRL match with 161,000 fans watching the premiership heavyweights do battle.
