Sam Stosur’s Australian Open campaign ends with 6-0, 6-1 defeat to unseeded American Jessica Pegula
If it’s to be her Australian Open farewell it won’t be remembered particularly fondly for Sam Stosur, but at least she kept swinging to the end.

- Stosur’s win against fellow Australian Destanee Aiava on Tuesday was her first round-one victory at the Australian Open since 2015
- But the 2011 US Open winner won just one game against American Jessica Pegula in round two, in a 50-minute match on Margaret Court Arena
Stosur was comprehensively outplayed in the second round at Margaret Court Arena on Thursday night, going down 6-0, 6-1 to American Jessica Pegula.
