Joined by friends and family, Sam farewelled her mum Libby at a private ceremony on Friday.
The Sunrise team has paid tribute to Sam Armytages mum, Libby, following her death.
Extremely sad news for a much loved member of our Sunrise family. Some of you may have already heard that Sams mum Elizabeth Libby Armytage passed away last week, Sunrise presenter Matt Doran said Friday.
Libby had a long battle with an auto-immune disease that affected her heart. Sam said her mum fought bravely but in the end her big, loving heart just couldnt do it anymore.
