Sale of iconic Hollywood Hotel once owned by Doris Goddard expected to fetch millions

An iconic pub that put Hollywood in the heart of central Sydney is being sold in what’s being billed as a multi-million-dollar deal.

For the first time in more than 42 years, the Hollywood Hotel in Surry Hills is being put on the market in a sale industry insiders claim could fetch $10 million.

Sale of the pub follows the 2019 passing of its famed owner Doris Goddard at 89, whose career in Hollywood as an actress, entertainer and cabaret singer extended over several years.
