Safety of the COVID-19 vaccine for pregnant women – KAAL
With COVID-19 vaccines continuing to roll out, there have been mixed messages about if it’s safe for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding to get the vaccine.

Faust also said if women contract COVID-19, their baby will be protected.
“The fetus is very well protected from COVID by the mother. So almost no transmission to the fetus. And even newborns, very unlikely to get very ill from COVID,” Faust said.
Even though the baby is safe, the effects of COVID-19 on the mother can be severe.
