Big changes set for this year’s carnival, with MRC getting a late spring wish
The spring Carnival will be extended into late November under a significant revamp announced by Racing Victoria.
The Melbourne Racing Club finally gets its wish to push deeper into spring, a move the club believes will allow it to innovate with “free air” from other sporting codes.
The Cranbourne Turf Club has scored a standalone meeting in mid-November in a boon for the club and country racing. It means there will now be three country standalone meetings in four weeks during the spring.
