Ruby Rose has joined Paris Berelc in the underdog comedy “1Up,” currently in production in Toronto, at Lionsgate and Buzzfeed.
Former “Batwoman” star Rose replaces Elliot Page who has had to drop out of the film which Kyle Newman is directing. Taylor Zakhar Perez, Hari Nef and Nicholas Coombe have also just been cast.
The story centers on a young woman named Valerie Lee (Berelc), who quits her college e-sports team, fed up with gaslighting from her male counterparts. She soon realizes her decision…
