Roundup: Iran’s COVID-19 infections rise to 468,119; WHO expresses concern over increasing high infections in Iraq_china.org.cn – China.org.cn

CAIRO, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) — Iran reported 3,523 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, raising the total confirmed number in the country to 468,119. Meanwhile, the World Health Organization (WHO) representative in Iraq expressed concerns over the increasing high infections in the country.
The pandemic has so far taken 26,746 lives in Iran, up by 179 in the past 24 hours, said Sima Sadat Lari, spokeswoman for the Iranian Ministry of Health and Medical Education, during her daily briefing.
