A Ross River and Barmah Forest virus warning has been issued for those living in or visiting Geelong, the Surf Coast and Bellarine by health authorities.
Deputy Chief Health Officer (Communicable Disease) Dr Annaliese van Diemen is warning Ross River virus has been detected in mosquitoes in Anglesea and Mildura, with recent weather and water conditions in those regions considered favourable to mosquito biting and breeding.
