Roosters ‘on the verge’ of signing Sonny Bill Williams as Politis dines with manager – Fox Sports
Sonny Bill Williams is close to an NRL comeback with his former club and defending premiers the Roosters tipped as the frontrunners to land his signature.
The Sydney Morning Herald reports Roosters boss Nick Politis met for lunch with Williams manager Khoder Nasser on Tuesday as the 34-year-old considers a return to the NRL for the final games of this season.
Williams is one of many former NRL stars who have become free agents after Toronto Wolfpack withdrew from the remainder of the English Super League season.
