Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara have welcomed their first child and have given him a name with a beautiful meaning.
According to director Victor Kossakovsky, the Mara gave birth to a son just last month. They’ve named him River, after Phoenix’s brother who died in 1993.
Phoenix, 45, and Mara, 35, first met on the set of the 2013 film Her, and got engaged in 2019.
