There was a glimmer of hope that Melbournes snap seven-day lockdown would end on Thursday and Rising would be able to open for its final weekend, but following the news of Victorias extended lockdown organisers have confirmed theyre cancelling the last three days of the festival (June 4 to 6).
Its been devastating timing for the arts and culture event. Rising opened for only one day before lockdown and its program featured exciting works by hundreds of local artists.
