Rich list 2021: Gina Rinehart, Andrew Forrest among Australia’s top 10 richest people – The Australian Financial Review
Gina Rinehart, in top spot on the 2021 Financial Review Rich List, is now wealthier than any Australian has ever been.
Iron ore is also responsible for the seventh-largest fortune on the 2021 Rich List, that of Clive Palmer with $13 billion. The controversial Queenslander is set to collect an extra $250 million a year from Chinese conglomerate CITIC, in addition to the $500 million annual royalties it is already sending him, because it wants to mine an extra billion tonnes of the metal across his Pilbara tenements.
