Ricciardo makes perfect start to life at McLaren in quick first pre-season test – Fox Sports
Daniel Ricciardo has made the perfect start to life at his new team McLaren as he topped the first session of day one of pre-season testing in Bahrain.
The Australian topped the leaderboard with a fastest time of 1:32.203 ahead of Alpha Tauris Pierre Gasly (1:32.231) and Red Bulls Max Verstappen (1:32.245) and set his fastest lap time on the hard Pirelli tyres.
Only 10 drivers took to the track for the first session with Mercedes, who had been keeping their cards extremely close to their chest when revealing their new car for the 2021 season, only managed six laps with Valtteri Bottas.
