Return of first home buyers lifts housing sentiment – The Australian Financial Review
Housing sentiment rebounded in the June quarter as restrictions started to ease, but the rising number of virus cases could break the fragile recovery that is luring first home buyers back to the market.

“The rebound in confidence is a natural reaction to improving COVID-19 case numbers when we conducted the survey,” Mr Bartolo said.
“But sentiment is still low overall. With signs of a second pandemic wave, next quarters results will be crucial to watch.
“Hopefully this renewed positivity and growing confidence is able to weather possible second waves of COVID-19 cases as weve seen in Victoria, which is no doubt increasing worry across the nation.”
