Retired builder holds first solo exhibition of handmade model coaches at the ripe old age of 80

Rob Prentice admits he spends a good deal of time on the floor in his workshop, searching for tiny parts for his hand-made scale models.

“I crawl around half the day looking for nuts I’ve dropped,” he laughed.
The retired builder made his first model at school, and now at the age of 80 is holding his very first solo gallery exhibition.
Titled A man’s version of a doll’s house, the exhibition features nineteen 1/12th scale models of Cobb & Co Coaches, complete with horses and drivers and luggage.
