Pre-orders for Intels upcoming Rocket Lake CPUs start today, and if you plan to buy, brace yourself for some high prices.
Major retailers are charging an extra $75 to $119 more than Intels suggested retail pricing for the processors, making them even more expensive than AMDs competing Ryzen 5000 CPUs. For example, the most powerful Rocket Lake CPU, the Core i9-11900K, is going for $614.50 on B&H Photo Video and $613 on Newegga substantial increase from the $539 recommended price.
