Remains of missing teenager who went for late-night swim at Perth’s Scarborough Beach found

The remains 16-year-old Matiyas Bekuretsion who was swept out to sea at Perth’s Scarborough Beach on Monday night have been found.
On Friday, police confirmed a member of the public made the discovery at Trigg Beach, north of Scarborough, on Wednesday morning.
A subsequent police examination confirmed the remains were of the teenager, who was in the water with three friends about 8:00pm on Monday when they ran into trouble.

“They were close to shore, whether or not it was a rip that took them out or they were hit by a wave is unknown to us at this stage,” WA Police Acting Inspector Cindy Morgan said on Tuesday.
