Reigning AFL MVP fails to earn nomination as full list is revealed – Fox Sports
Carlton skipper Patrick Cripps has been overlooked by teammates in this year’s AFL Players’ Association Most Valuable Player nominations, leaving the 25-year-old with no chance of winning the award for the second consecutive year.

Although some of his key indicators remain impressive (he is ranked first in the league for centre clearances per game and second for overall clearances), Cripps 2020 season has been widely regarded as below his lofty standards.
Instead, Carlton opted for gun recruit Jack Martin, second-year star Sam Walsh and defensive figurehead Jacob Weitering as their three nominations for the award.
