Nestles Allens confectionary brand appears to have accidentally renamed its Redskin lollies after a notorious serial killer.
The confectionery manufacturer on Monday announced the rebranding of Allens-branded Redskins and Chicos lollies due to overtones.
Redskins is an offensive slang term for Native American people while Chicos is the Spanish translation for boy and can be offensive to people of Latin-American descent.
Cheekies replaced Chicos and Red Ripper replaced Redskins.
