Swollen hands and feet, unexplained rashes and disorientation in elderly patients are just some of the symptoms confronting nurses and doctors on the COVID-19 front line.
Emergency physician Stephen Parnis, who works across three hospitals in metropolitan Melbourne, said coronavirus patients he had treated in the past week were aged from their teens to their 80s.
“We are seeing people of all ages,” the former vice-president of the Australian Medical Association said.
