A thrilling onslaught by Kieron Pollard has inspired Mumbai Indians to an amazing last-ball win as they successfully chased down 218 by Chennai Super Kings to edge their Indian Premier League showdown by four wickets.
The 33-year-old Trinidadian Pollard is one of the world’s best Twenty20 players but he’d yet to fire in this IPL.
All that changed on Saturday as he enhanced his reputation by smashing a 17-ball fifty and went on to make 87 not out from 34 balls, smoking eight sixes and six boundaries.
